Barterrup
An education and NGO-sector platform for exchanging goods, services and skills without money changing hands. I developed the brand identity and built the website, then extended the system into print and outdoor collateral.
Barterrup sits at the intersection of education and the non-profit sector — a platform for exchanging goods, services and skills without money changing hands. It needed a brand and a website that felt trustworthy to institutions and approachable to the individuals using it.
Brand & Website
NGO and education platforms often default to generic, forgettable visuals because budget and attention go to the mission first, not the brand. Barterrup needed an identity that could hold its own visually without slipping into a corporate tone that would feel at odds with its community purpose.
I built the identity around a mark and colour system that reads as credible on a letterhead and approachable on a poster, then extended it into street-level and print collateral so the brand had a physical presence, not just a digital one. The website carries the same system, built to stay simple for people who may not be particularly tech-savvy.
